Conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) is an essential polyunsaturated fatty acid belonging to the Omega-6 family, characterized by a skeleton of 18 carbon atoms and is implicated in numerous metabolic functions, in particular as a precursor of prostaglandins and other endogenous messengers, and in the fluidization of cell membranes, which facilitates cell-to-cell communication.

The term Conjugated Linoleic Acid (CLA) instead identifies a series of positional and geometric isomers of linoleic acid (LA), which are involved in other organic processes; in some studies CLA appears to be an easily available energy source, allowing a saving of glycogen and muscle amino acids, thus being able to indirectly help preserve lean mass at the expense of fat deposits. In the diet, the main isomer of CLA is cis-9 trans-11, which is defined as an essential fatty acid, as the human organism does not have the enzymes responsible for its synthesis

Recommended dose: It is recommended to take 3 soft capsules per day with meals.
