Being a Vegan Athlete? It's Possible!
Do you want an athletic body while following a vegan diet? You have to be a little careful, but it is possible! Many are afraid that without animal-based foods, their intense workouts will go to waste. There are many famous and successful athletes who are living proof that these statements are wrong. It is indeed possible to be vegan and have a large muscle mass even if you transform from a carnivore into a herbivore in just one day. The key is the quality of the supplementation.
The basic ingredients: rice and peas
Unlike products with animal-based ingredients, plant-based foods are not complete protein sources, which means they do not contain all the essential amino acids that our bodies require. However, it is possible (with a combination of different plant-based protein sources) to obtain a complete protein complex. In Vegan Protein we have achieved this by combining two protein sources that complement each other perfectly – rice protein is low in lysine but high in sulphur-containing amino acids (such as cysteine and methionine) and pea protein is low in sulphur-containing amino acids but high in lysine. We have enhanced this excellent base blend by adding additional amino acids.
+ 3 types of superfoods
- Quinoa Flour → The ancient Incas considered this food popular even today in healthy cuisine as the mother of all cereals, even though it is actually a "pseudo-cereal". It has a lower carbohydrate content than normal cereals, but its protein content is higher (16%). In addition, it is an excellent mineral source as it contains potassium, calcium, magnesium and iron.
- Acai Berry Powder → Acai berries, native to the Amazon rainforest, have an incredible ORAC value (International Standard for Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity, which measures the ability to scavenge free radicals).
- Goji Berry Poor → Goji berries (also known as wolfberries) have been used in China as an aphrodisiac for hundreds of years. This tasty, bright red fruit that tastes like a mix between cherry and blackberry contains 8 essential amino acids and plenty of vitamin C.
We recommend using this product if:
- you are vegetarian or vegan. Vegan proteins can effectively supplement your protein intake, especially if you practice sports → its plant-based protein content contributes to the development and maintenance of muscle mass.
- You are looking for a plant-based alternative to dairy proteins.
- Are you sensitive to lactose?
- you are celiac
- you want to change something in the kitchen → this product can be used as a thickener in soups or vegetarian recipes
How to take Vegan Protein:
Dissolve one serving of powder (25g = 3 level tablespoons) in 250ml of water. Take immediately after training. On rest days, take the shake in the afternoon. For best results, use a shaker.
